Periodontist

I received the Diploma of Dental Surgeon from the Dental School, University of Athens, Greece in 1999. I was then awarded the degree of Master of Science in Oral Biology and the Certificate of Clinical Specialisation in Periodontics with distinction in 2003 from the Dental School, University of Athens, Greece, following completion of a three-year specialist training programme.

In 2009, I received her Doctorate Degree from the University College London, Eastman Dental Institute for my thesis entitled "The Effect of Diabetes Mellitus on Guided Bone Regeneration". I am the recipient of the prestigious "Basic Research" award by the European Association of Osseointegration.

From 2003 until 2005, I held the appointments of Clinical Research Fellow and Clinical Instructor, Periodontology Unit, UCL Eastman Dental Institute. In 2005, I received the Papavramides clinical fellowship award and joined the Department of Periodontology and Fixed Prosthodotnics, University of Bern, Switzerland. I held this position until 2006 when I was appointed as Clinical Lecturer in Periodontology, UCL Eastman Dental Institute.

The treatment I provide at the Covent Dental Spa is Periodontal treatment for people with Peridontal Disease, mainly periodontitis. I also do cosmetic periodontal surgery such as gum recontouring. Gum recontouring can change the shape of the gum, thus making the smile more even.
