I am not great with shopping and big crowds. And then when the girls from the Dental Spa came up with the Secret Santa idea for Christmas presents, I was forced to face the music! Literally, in that every shop I walked into was playing loud Christmas jingles, the same ones it appeared, over and over, all at full blast! Headache inducing stuff. But I put on a brave face, and shopped around, ignoring the loud beat that made my heart pulse at a faster rate. I thought the music was meant to put me in a good mood conducive with enjoyable retail therapy………….this was not doing it for me! So I thought, till I found myself perusing the goods of the store, and humming! No, I was actually singing, out loud! Ooops! How embarrassing, I apologise to my fellow shoppers for my attempted karaoke discord. Hang on, which Christmas Jingle has me singing along??? - ‘All I want for Christmas are my two front teeth!’ Go figure!

The coincidence of it all came the next Monday morning, my first patient is a gentleman I met on holiday a few years ago. Tim his name is – his neighbours and family call him One Tooth Tim as he only has one front tooth. When we first met, and he gave me his toothless grin, asking me about my Dental Spa in London, he promised he would hunt me down so I could make him a full set of teeth. ‘Yeah ok’, was my response, thinking this was highly unlikely. So you can imagine the surprise on my face when I saw One Tooth Tim sitting in the lounge area of the Dental Spa. As he grinned from ear to ear, baring all in his one tooth smile, happy to see me –his request was simple, ‘All I want for Christmas are my two front teeth’

Ok, so I’ve got my work cut out for me, not much time till Christmas, but I did promise One Tooth Tim when we met a few years ago, that I would give him his smile back – even though the fact that his smile constitutes of one front tooth does not deter him from smiling. In fact he has one of the warmest smiles I have ever seen! So the make over has commenced to give Tim, who tracked me down from the other side of the world, his two front teeth in time for Christmas – well more than that just the two front teeth, a full set is on order!
